Maize sheller are used to carefully separate maize grains from the cobs while removing the central stem (rachis). These machines are mainly used in the seed processing industry, especially when large quantities of maize are collected after harvest.
Once the maize has been husked and dried, the cobs are placed into the sheller machine. It works by gently rubbing the cobs together to loosen the kernels. This soft method helps protect the quality of the seeds and keeps their ability to grow intact.
